GlossHaus Foam Pads

I have evaluated foam pads from many different sources
and am amazed at the difference in quality that is available
to enthusiasts. I had several criteria in mind as I began
the search for a set of foam pads that would address a broad
spectrum of paint conditions. The pads had to stand-up to
intensive use over a long period of repeated use. Many pads
made by major players just did not meet the challenge. The
principal weakness for many pads seems to be the hook and
loop backing delaminating from the foam pad. The hook and
loop generates heat from the PC random orbital backing plate
moving against the pad hook and loop. GlossHaus pads will
not delaminate as others might.
Second, the pads had to offer a broad spectrum of usability
in terms of aggressiveness. Our pads and compounds, along
with the PC, give the user flexibility in terms of aggressiveness
that is sometimes needed to deal with aged as well as newer,
but distressed paints. Alternately, GlossHaus pads also give
the user a milder capability to complete fine refinishing.
Our pads are one of the core pieces of equipment included
in the GlossHaus Kits. These are the best all around pads
available.
Make no mistake however, pads are only a component in the
well balanced GlossHaus Kit. These pads are matched with
compounds and the characteristics of the PC to produce a
stunning result.
Yellow Foam Pad – I worked with several manufacturers
to source a more aggressive foam pad. GlossHaus tested these
pads and determined its pore structure is 20% more aggressive
than most foam cutting pads in the market. It allows GlossHaus
Kit owners to treat areas of their paint – sand scratches,
heavy oxidation and blemishes - that may not have been easy
to diminish or eliminate in the past.
Orange Foam Pad – This medium grade aggressiveness
pad is the workhorse of the GlossHaus System. It has the
most flexibility in terms of its ability to adopt the characteristics
of the compound with which it is paired. It works well with
Foundation II and Foundation III compounds and in a pinch
can even give a great result with GlossHaus Glaze.
White Polishing Pad – This pad is a fine polishing
pad and works incredibly well with GlossHaus Glaze.
Black Pad – This pad has no abrasive characteristics
and is used to apply GlossHaus Waxes.
